Covenant Players' 40th Birthday!...Today was the official 40th birthday of our ministry. Pretty cool. One thing that was really neat was comments that came after our performance at an assisted living center (for the elderly). I didn't think it was one of our better performances, and in fact, backstage there were a few frustrations/irritations before-- and during-- the show. But then to see the enthusiastic response from people after the show was really humbling. I knew it had to be God's doing. And it really affirmed the worth of the ministry and encouraged me a great deal. One lady said that she wished there were more people like us who really cared for others and had real character. Another lady said she would always remember me.
Another great blessing was that we got to meet up w/another team in this area. They have two adorable kids (Matthew and Rachel, ages 8 and 5). Boy, I tell ya, kids can really touch your heart. Rachel's mom, Sharon told me that Rachel prays for me every single night. That almost brought me to tears. Then when they say me (it was a big surprise for them) they jumped up and gave me hugest hug in the world. :)
Kids are great, I tell ya. And Baby Emma (my teammates 4 month old baby) has quite a ministry of her own-- esp. in nursing homes. You should see people's faces light up. It's really cool. :)
Ok. I've gotta get to sleep. Hopefully, I'll see Maurice and Beth this week if we can work it out. :)

it's been forever and a day...
jeepers, life's been so crazy busy this tour, i haven't even been able to keep this up. but i want to. i've gotta get my laptop's email goin' so that i can write more regularly...
i've gotta whine for a while...i'm exhausted. it's been a really rough two weeks b/c of team tensions. i sometimes feel like i'm caught in the crossfire. i'll admit it's been really rough and draining. but ...something's really different for me this tour. the Lord's been teaching me alot about how I have a choice in things. and He's been convicting me about choosing to rejoice. but i tell you, it's been tough.
the last 48 hours i've been cramming a huge role for a performance tomorrow night. it would have been nice to have more advance warning. i'm so brain dead from memorizing. but it's such an annointed play and it's an honor to be given this role. but boy, do i need prayer. it's a tough one. i'd better go but i hope to write more often again.
oh yeah...one cool thing is we visited Niagra Falls on monday. that was so incredible. we had a really good time. :)
