i don't know what happened but i did blog last wk! where is that entry???

saying goodbye...new beginnings...

Well, today was a really surreal day. This morning, my team leader, laura lee and I said bye to my teammates, Hannah and Elijah and baby Emma...for the rest of tour. After a really crazy last couple of weeks, emotions and stress levels and frustrations escalated and then exploded on Wednesday night. Thankfully, we had housing set up for us in a motel for the next few nights and we had the room to deal w/this. Because I don't think we could have continued to function as a unit like this anymore.

Calls to the office were being made Wednesday night and all day Thursday. The team leaders of a team in Rhode Island (we were in New Hampshire at the time) were sent to meet w/us as mediators in hopes of finding solutions -- and more importantly, forgiveness. To make a long story short, Hannah and Elijah both finally saw that the best thing to do for all of our sakes-- theirs, their baby, as well as ours as a unit-- was to take a break from road life for a while so that they could work on being a family.

Some people may disagree w/me, but I really feel it was the right decision. There is grace in admitting that we are weak. It's when we cannot admit our weaknesses and start playing the blame game for that which we cannot handle, that we fall into dangerous territory.

There's alot of processing we'll all be doing for a while. Things did not go perfectly. We all could have done things differently. But the Lord's mercies are new every morning and in the words of one of our mediators, "Why shouldn't ours be?"
