my itinerary this tour...

well...since several people have requested it and since i know those people usually read my blogs anyway, and since i probably should (for once) keep a record somewhere of where i'll be going to this tour, i thought "here's as good a place as any to post my itinerary". so here goes...

So, that's the plan. We'll see how closely we stick to it! :)
My time's a bit limited (as usual). Right now I'm writing from an internet cafe in Cambridge (which isn't really where we're scheduled to be as you might note!). I gotta catch up on a lot of email and I don't think I'm gonna get to everybody as. But that's ok. I'll do my best!

I'm so glad we got today off. I slept until 10:42am. I think I've been really wiped out cuz we haven't had much down time. (I've overslept the last two days.) Lunch breaks are alot shorter than I'm used to. Usually, my units have taken at least an hour off for lunch because it's our down time. I actually gave my units 1 1/2 (sometimes 2) hrs off for lunch because it was our one real break in our day-- especially if we're moving around to different host homes because then we're constantly having to be "up" and we have now down time.

I think the lack of "down time" has really affected my mood-- and I don't think I'm actually that moody a person. I was so grouchy and impatient yesterday and the day before. I'm finding too that Naomi and I have very different communication styles. (Surprise surprise.) I find it pretty easy to talk with and follow Alex but I have a more difficult time following Naomi when she explains things. But I have to just learn to understand her way of thinking/communicating (as she also works to understand my way of communicating) and not get impatient-- even if it's 9:30pm and we're still discussing work stuff. They've been very gracious to me, really, though. They let me go take a walk when I started to go crazy yesterday. It would be better if I didn't have to get to that point but I guess I'm learning about my own limits too. Guess I'm not perfect after all. (Hah!)

back in the U.K. with the Catalyst Isles Unit again...

It's actually been really good being back in the U.K. I thought I was gonna hate it and there was part of me that really fought going back but once the unit assignments were announced i knew i needed to make a conscious decision of the will to love the area and to love the people there and to choose to have a positive attitude about it. What really helps is that I absolutely love the unit I'm with and I'm loving being a unit member again (rather than being the team leader).

I feel like the Lord really prepared me for going back. When I first spoke w/Bobbi about returning to Europe, my heart was so set on going back to Poland. And in fact, I know in my heart that I will go back some day. But I also felt the Lord speaking to me about His timing. (Lila lent me a really good tape series by Joyce Meyers on God's Timing too-- which I still need to return to her!) So day by day, I felt in my spirit that I was not going to go back to Poland this tour. In fact, the night before I found out my unit assignment, as I was journaling, I felt the Lord prompting me to really examine my attitude about going back to England and that night I had a dream that I would be going back.

The next few days were like having to deal with heartache all over again (because of my love for Poland) but now, I'm really happy. I love my unit very much. Naomi and Alex Philippi are so wonderful-- very Godly, very loving, very positive, very servant-hearted. I just have alot of respect for them as people, as friends, and as leaders, so it makes submitting to their leadership very easy. And while I'm not burdened with the responsibilties of having to lead a team, I'm blessed to be able to serve as the Music Director which I do enjoy when I'm working with humble people eager to learn (-- and they are).

Well gotta go. This computer's logging out and I'm at the library!
