yea!!! back in poland!!!

it's great to be back in Poland. I'm co-leading the team this time around w/Stuartt Cuthill and we have a brand new missioner with us from Germany named Petra. I'm loving it here. If there was any fear of being disappointed in any way by the reality of Poland not being as wonderful as I've been remembering it these past two years, I needn't have feared. It really is wonderful to be back. I'm quite happy to be co-leading. It's a good set-up for me and I think it will help rebuild my confidence and I'll be alright if I have to lead alone next time (--which I imagine I probably will).

We've started off strong with a full week of playdates. And oh no I'll have to wait til another time to finish cuz my time's up! More later!

still waiting to find out...
any day now i'll be finding out about where and with whom i'll be missioning. saturday's the day when it's announced officially to everyone so i should find out tomorrow or friday unless they want to be particularly cruel to me!

last week's retreat...
we had a five day retreat (last Monday to Friday) and it was wonderful. probably the highlight was this special devotional activity we did where we asked the Lord to prepare our hearts and listened for a Biblical truth he wanted to speak to us. Then we all went one by one to write that down in our own words. We were only shown the statement written just before ours and we were to follow it with what the Lord had put on our hearts. The result was amazing. It was so cohesive and it flowed almost seamlessly. You couldn't tell who wrote what. And there were certain themes/truths that kept coming up...Identity in Christ; God's Fulfillment of Promises in His Perfect Timing; His Personal/ Intimate Love for Each of Us; His Blessing and Favor Upon Righteousness. God was definitely there. It was an incredible spiritual experience for all of us.
I'll need to go cuz others are waiting to use this computer. More news to follow soon-- hopefully.
