more interesting housing adventures...
we've been staying with the family of one of my best friends in Covenant Players, Liliana. (she's in the States right now.) they're very special to me and it's been wonderful to come back here. i spent a few days of my Winter break here back in 2003. anyway, we were scheduled to stay here from last Monday night thru Thursday night.
Friday afternoon we drove to the next host home only to find out that the girl who set up the housing wasn't there and she hadn't mentioned anything about it to her parents. So there we were stranded in a little village with no housing. I whined for a while and had a silent tantrum inside. Then we spent the rest of the day in a "hypermarket" (sort of a mall) having a little bit of "retail therapy" and also sitting down at a cafe to do some planning and run some lines. Then we were warmly welcomed back at Liliana's family's place. They told us we could stay as long as we wanted to and that was a huge blessing.
Today we didn't have a playdate so we just visited a Pentecostal church in Krakow. I asked the Lord this morning to give us a divine appointment and he did. We sat right in front of a couple from Wyoming who had good friends who were Covenant Players 15 yrs ago. I told them we were looking for one night of housing later this week and they asked another friend who was there at the church. Their friend said yes right on the spot. That was such a huge blessing. Plus, this American couple says that in the future we're very welcome at their place. It's just that they have a guest there right now. They also work with students and we might be able to book a youth performance with them too!
I'd better go. I'm tying up the internet here. Tomorrow we go to my favorite place in all of Poland-- an enchanting little town called Wisla. It's in the mountainous South of Poland-- gorgeous and peaceful. Yea.
Oh yeah. We need prayer too. Stuartt and I both have colds. I think we're getting better but I'd like to be fully recovered!
