Inner Silence...
I'm back in Germany now and I'm actually really excited about this summer. i'm really hoping to make some breakthroughs in areas that have plagued me for years-- mainly time management issues and not living under the tyranny of the urgent.
Classes have been especially good this training time in Covenant Players. In our Discipleship classes we've been listening to a tape by Joyce Meyers focusing on I Peter 3: 3-4. In my discipleship class, we're all single females (except for the teacher) and this verse talks about how the inward beauty of a quiet spirit is precious in the Lord's sight. Watchman Nee said that "to aspire to be quiet should be the responsibility of every believer." We're talking about inner calm -- not circumstance control but self-control.

I had a wonderful time back home. It was very short (14-26 June) but very special. My older sister, Sharon gave birth to Keilah the day before I had to fly back to Germany. Bonnie and I, as well as Sharon's husband, Irving, were all there with her at her bedside as Keilah was being born. It was a wonderful experience (--except for seeing the umbilical cord and all the blood-- that grossed me out a bit). But really, every baby born into this world is a miracle.
I'll have to try to put up some pictures soon. But here's the 4-1-1:
Keilah Elise was born on 25th of June 2007 at 3:19pm weighing in at 6 lbs 10.8oz. Keilah means "fortress" and "Elise" is a variation of our maternal grandmother, Elsie. My auntie Pansy tells us that she was a lovely and generous woman who was compassionate and gentle but also strong. I believe her name will be prophetic of a beautiful little baby who one day grows into a strong and lovely lady, solidly grounded in the Lord, who will not be shaken.
