GPS Convert ....
I'll admit it. I had my doubts about these things. I avoided them for a while -- partially in defiance of this rapidly-ever-changing-techno society, partially because of fear of the unknown, partially because of the expense, and partially because I valued my intelligence and ability to read maps... but I've gone over to the "dark" side. I'm a recent GPS convert. I think all our units in Covenant Players should have one. After one week of using our newly bought "Tomtom" (thanks to the donations of Eglise Evangelique Lumiere des Nations -- Evangelical Church "Light of the Nations" in Lingolsheim, France), I've seen how indispensable this little techno gadget has been to us. It saves us so much time (not to mention stress) in constantly routing and re-routing. And when you're on the road 9 months out of the year working with an itinerate ministry, you'd better believe it'll save you tons of time!
Anyway, that's the latest scoop on the improvement of our current life status.
And I guess I should fill you in. Jodi & I have been on our own as a two-person unit for the last 3 weeks so we could use an extra boost of prayers for these next two weeks of tour. We're in the south of France right now and in the next two weeks, we'll be moving to Switzerland, then northeastern France (Alsace), then finally Stuttgart, Germany, where I'll catch a flight home. The traveling's pretty exhausting as you can probably imagine. (Not to mention performing as just two, booking shows for both this area as well as Poland/Lithuania, rehearsing, and tons of admin/record-keeping work that has to be completed by the end of mission.)
