19 Highlights of this summer
(in no particular order):

1. Spending time w/family... watching my niece & nephew grow.
2. Eating lots and lots of yummy Chinese food! Yea!!!
3. Sunday lunches w/ Danette, Richard, Debbie, Jason, & little Lizzie
4. Times of solitude at the beach and on long drives between CP training, my parents' home, & my host home.
5. CP Retreat
6. Hanging out w/my new peeps Drew, Gerard, and my old peep, Afua [see photo]
7. Not really a delightful highlight but surely a memorable experience: getting stung by a scorpion for the first (and hopefully last) time in my life. [see photo]
8. Another insect-oriented highlight (even though I normally don't like bugs): spotting a vibrant green praying mantis strikingly contrasted by the goreous white/magenta highlighted orchid. God is an amazing Artist. [see photo]
9. PD w/Drew, Afua (joined by Gerard) at my home church, Chinese Evang. Free Church (Monterey Park) and lunch afterward w/my mom, the 3 CP-ers with me, and my host family (from Camarillo) who came all the way out to watch/support me. I love when my worlds merge together and I don't have to keep them seperate.
9. Being part of a three-Act play, PORTS OF CALL -- challenging in a number of ways but fulfilling as an actress.
10. Birthday dinner for mom & I (we share the same b-day) at Roy's Restaurant (Hawaiian Fusion cuisine) including my lil sis Bon who flew down from Northern Cal.
11. Reuniting & reconnecting w/old friends: my host family (the Youngs), CP-ers in America. [see photo]
12. Being part of a task force to help move CP forward.
13. Singing lots of newer Catalysts songs and learning tons from Chris again.
14. Being so warmly & deeply received and embraced immediately by CP's N. American campus.
15. "Finding myself" again.
16. Falling in love w/Jesus again.
17. Gaining a greater awe and appreciation for the hugeness & supremacy of God.
18. Rachel's wedding & meeting the rest of her very dynamic & entertaining family with whom I had a blast! [see photo]
19. Being welcomed back into the European community of CP -- esp. being by my new unit members (Leo & Astrid) w/ presents & an unbelievably aesthetically & taste-bud pleasing Leo-baked cake as a belated b-day/welcome back surprise. [see photo]
