God of the Impossible...
Tonight, Kev & Cindy and I watched a DVD of theirs, "Facing the Giant". If you want to see a good Christian movie, this is one I'd recommend. Some of the acting is very strong. Some is not so strong. But overall, it's very well done. And more than that, it's powerful, moving, inspiring, and full of Truth. If you like football, you'll be extra blessed as the story line is built around the life of a football coach of a losing team in a Christian school who's facing failure in many areas of his life. But His faith in the Lord is so strong and he holds on to the commandment to "Love the Lord your God with all your mind and all your heart and all your soul" and he determines to praise Him and love Him regardless of what circumstances are thrown his way. And the Lord really honors that. It's a beautiful movie.
Another great -- and well done -- Christian movie I saw half a year ago is called "Fireproof" (with Kirk Cameron starring in it -- in a very strong performance). It centers around a marriage that's falling apart and it is heart-wrenching at many points, but sooo good. I don't want to describe it much because the description would do it injustice. I just would highly recommend it -- especially to couples. (But not limited to couples.)
On a completely different subject... if anyone knows of any English speakers living around Cologne, Germany, please let them know my team & I will be performing at the International Baptist Church of Cologne ! And we'll be doing one of my all-time favorite plays, DIED: OCTOBER 20TH, based on Romans 12:1.
