What an exciting last two weeks...

Two weeks ago (May 9th), we performed in a Polish Missions Church in Germany. As you know, Poland has such a special place in my heart. I think it always will. So to be able to serve Polish people in Germany was such a special gift from the Lord to me. And the whole unit was so enthusiastic about it & I was so proud of them for learning plays in Polish & for doing this in part, because they knew how precious an opportunity it was to me.

The next day we had three 90 minutes sessions of performing for English lessons in a school. Then three days later, we had two very different playdates. One was a multi-church gathering in celebration of Ascension Day. And the other.... drum roll please... "Kaninchenfest"!!! -- that is, "Bunny Day" in German. Yes, there is an official rabbit day and this was for a joint celebration between a nursing home and elementary school. Look at the size of that rabbit. I think it's the biggest bunny in the world. When it's stretched out, it's about 4x's my foot! Anyway, we got to play little rabbits and premiered the German translation of a Rabbit play called FORGIVENESS. (How's that for diversity in our repertoire???) Also for that day, we performed a very hefty play (12 pages) called THE KEY, targeting working together.

And last Sunday, we went to three different churches -- and it was so special. Kev & Cindy's hearts continue to beat for South America and they had the opportunity to serve in a Spanish speaking church that evening. Tabea's heart beats very much for Israel --her birthplace (even though she's German-Czech). And as you know, music is so much a part of my life & flows out of the soul. I received an invitation to play with a worship band for a special Catholic Mass. The music was so diverse & I got to do my favorite thing on flute -- fills and improvising on the spot -- just adding in without the pressure of leading. And this morning, I got to play again in another service!

And three days ago, we met up with the Charlemagne Unit of Covenant Players (which travels in France, Luxembourg, and Switzerland)!!! It was such a special time. And as I've toured with both Jodi and Leo, (and I have yet to mission with Florence but am very fond of her), the ties run deep and it was just a very precious time of enjoying one another's company, having a change of pace, and refreshing one another. We met up in Thionville, France and enjoyed great food in an Italian restaurant (in France -- zut alors!) Then we took a long walk together, stopped at a beautiful church, and surprised Leo with ice-cream (for an early birthday treat)! I think you can see in the pictures that we had a really great time together!

Well, I must go... but first, Happy Belated Birthday to Suzanne (21 May), and Happy Birthday to Wing (23 May), and Leo (24 May)!!! And officially as of this writing, I've hit both Wing's & Leo's BDs because it's Sunday afternoon (the 23rd) in L.A. and midnight (the 24th) in Europe!

Yea! Celebrate!!! :)

Love y'all!
