End of the month... Beginning of a new mission!

Yay! I squeezed this blog in just before the end of the month! Mission kicked off 2 1/2 weeks ago & we started off with a wonderful time of performing but now we're transitioning into office life & a new school year for the kids. Aha! I have to explain!

This mission I have a double assignment. For the first 3 months, I've been assigned to BIO (Covenant Player's British & Irish Office) as part of the staff. Debbie & Geoffrey Allen serve as the National Directors here & we're based in the South of Wales, not too far from Cardiff. If their names sound familiar to you perhaps it's because you recall I missioned with them back in 2002. At that time, Debbie was pregnant with their youngest one -- who's now eight. (You'd have already figured that out if you're good at math!) They have two other kids & I live with them in their home. (Last time I toured with them, we were still on the road and the kids were home schooled.) It's not weird at all. It's very much a second family for me. We're so blessed by our relationships with one another. Built on a solid foundation in the Lord and on His love, there's so much trust in one another & that's really freeing. We feel very free from having to prove anything to one another. And the relationships I have with the kids is equally precious to me.

I'll have to write more some time about how much I've enjoyed this change. There's still a lot to learn and the workload is about to get heavy, but still, this has been a very welcome change in my life.

The kids start a new school year this week so we're getting in a few moments of holiday fun -- including a trip to an amusement park (-- a generous treat from the leaders of our London based team, the Albion Unit) -- and a wonderful day at a gorgeous beach with magnificent rock formations & caves. (I'll have to put up pictures some time.)

Ah... and for the second part of my double assignment...
I'll join the Rhein Unit (serving Germany & the Netherlands). And if this sounds familiar, it's because I was just on that unit last mission. Cindy got pregnant last tour and is due to give birth in December. So as she nears that time, I'll be joining their team for extra support. (I've been dubbed the resident expert in touring with women in the third trimester of pregnancy, since this will be my third time doing so!)

Anyway, now that I have a home (for the time being), I'm a bit easier to reach. (Just remember I'm 8 hours ahead of L.A.) Also, our call plan includes calls to the U.S. without additional charge! So if you text me, I can always try to call you back when I have a chance! Here's our contact info:
