... and some more photos...

Look at God's creativity and beauty!

Fungi Fotos from Białowieży National Park ...

A Rare Opportunity...

Right now we're in Klaipeda, Lithuania with a wonderful family, the Karosas family. Saul & Sanna Karosas were in CP in the 90's and it's a special joy to return to them. I'll have to write more on our time here soon, but for now, I just wanted to put some photos up from two weeks ago in Poland, just before coming to Lithuania.

I contacted the presbyter of the Baptist Church for the northeastern region of Poland -- who is also a licensed tour guide to a national forest in Poland. We had a pretty exhausting week that week, trying to prepare for our time in Lithuania, investing in people time from morning to night -- and try to fit playing "tourists" at the same time. (Oh, and I forgot to mention -- during this time, Shane came down with stomach flu & then I got it after him.) But exhausted as we were, we could not pass up this rare and precious opportunity.

The Białowiejski Park Narodowy (Białowieża National Park) includes a restricted area where you can only enter with a licensed guide, researcher, etc. It is strictly protected because it is one of Europe's largest and oldest "primeval forests" (also called "old growth forests"). Only 2-3% of Europe's natural forest remains today. I was amazed to see God's creation and the many different types of life co-existing with one another (and growing out of one another in some cases). The photos won't do the sights justice but I think it does give you a good idea what we saw.

Enjoy!
